Harborside Resort-Atlantis

My husband and I are considering going to the Atlantis in April. We will be taking our 3 year old with us. Has anyone stayed at one of the villas at the harborside resort there? Are they nice?
Thanks

Yes, my family and I have stayed at the Harborside Resort at Atlantis every year since they opened (2002) and we're going back this year. Great atmosphere for a 3 year old and the villas are small condo's with kitchens. Very nice and off the beaten path from the rat race in the Royal Tower of the hotel.

Have fun!

Where do you get your groceries? Any recommendations on what to bring from home?
Thanks

There is a nice grocery store across the bridge. Harborside has a shuttle that runs every morning. The store is very nice but, be prepared to spend $$. It's not WalMart prices. We checked frozen meat with AA in a soft-sided ice chest and had no problems. We also took an extra suitcase with various snacks...crakers, cookies, Crystal Light, mac and cheese, tuna, mayo, etc. We used the suitcase to pack souvineers for the trip home.

Don't know whether you'd be into this or not but in the Marina Village(between Harborside & the Royal Tower) there is an upscale restaurant called Seafire Steakhouse. They sell prime meats, fish & lobsters tail etc to cook at home. I'm sure they're not cheap but the quality looked excellent.
There is also an ice cream place you may want to check out. My kids love Johnny Rockets. Have fun. Meg

Hi Galas,
When are you planning on traveling? My husband and I are taking our 3-year-old son to Harborside Atlantis at the end of April.

We toured the facility last December when we were in port on a Disney cruise. Harborside was very nice. We're Starwood owners and have stayed at other properties, the facility standards for SVO properties are generally excellent.

My only disappointment is learning that the "kids club" at Atlantis for 3 - 5 year olds requires full potty training, no diapers, no pull ups. We're not at that point yet, and I'm not sure we will be by the end of April. Hopefully, there will be other kids his age he can play with at Harborside and the Atlantis pools.

Question for anyone who doesn't mind replying:

How close are these condos (Harborside) to everything? Can you walk to the beach and water park/pools? Restaurants? If it is too far to walk, how do you get around? Thanks!

Where is Harborside Resort in relation to the Atlantis Resort? Is it part of the Atlantis Resort? I am planning on booking my vacation in July 2007 with my 3 yr. old daughter as well at the Atlantis and I am looking for advise on which tower is best (Royal, Coral, or Beach)

We will be going the second week in April. We called prior to booking to see how far Harborside is from the towers and other activities. They said that it was a 15 minute walk, but there are shuttles running all the time to drive you over. There are also kids pools on the harborside. We decided that it was more important to have a kitchen than to be in the thick of things. My son is a good traveller but like most 3 year olds gets bored sitting still for an hour for each meal. I figure we'll eat breakfast and most lunches in the villa and eat out at night. We stayed at a similar resort in Destin, Florida and that worked well. Have fun!
