Frangipani Resort construction?

For anyone who has recently visited this resort, is it still under construction? If so, did it affect your stay? We are considering a trip to Anguilla and the Frangipani looks wonderful, but not if there is noisy construction taking place.

Thank you!

There is definately construction nearby, but it didn't keep us from having a good time last week at Frangipani. Once the saws sounded like a siren until I realized it was construction noise. You hear a little on both sides of Frangipani, but not so much that I wouldn't go there. It's most places on the island.

If the construction is nearby the resort, we can definitely deal with that. I had read some reviews on tripadvisor that stated that the Frangipani was being remodeled but it sounds like the work has been finished. Thanks!

During the closed season, Frangipani will finish the renovation, which includes installing new doors, both interior and exterior. They also plan to put in an Infinity Pool in front of the units, but all this is to be done while the resort is closed. I wouldn't worry about noise; in a week it was rare that we heard any noise at all. Maybe a couple of days there was work going on nearby, but not at Frangipani. The owners know that guests prefer not to have work done while they are there.

Hello, we just got back 23 Aug from a lovely stay at the Frangipani. We stayed in room 18 - at the top of the hill - one of only two airconditioned units that they have. The view is unbelievable - as you are on the balcony, you have the most magnificent view of the bay. We had a little noise from the road traffic behind us, and some from the ferries, but nothing that was bothersome. The room was absolutely gorgeous - four poster bed with new mosquito netting. They provided coils each night for us, along with spray in the room. Did have some water problems as the pump seemed to break down but Brenn, the maintenance man was extremely helpful to fix it promptly. The staff was lovely, as usual. I stayed here 17 years ago, and it has not lost any of its charm. I would highly recommend this hotel. Also, to our pleasant surprise, there was a small fridge in the room and a coffee maker and hot water maker in the room. So you have the ability to shop in town at the fruit market and store some breakfast items! Also, a lovely light breakfast can be delivered for only $12 EC pp.
