Bonaire Hotels
Planning a second trip to Bonaire at the end of July and can't decide where to stay. First trip was about 8 - 10 years ago. At that time, my husband and I were divers and found the diving to be fantastic. Our two teenagers (14 and 16) are now certified and we have been wanting to take them back. We stayed at Harbour Village last time, but the only rooms there available for our dates are double what rooms are at other locations. We are considering Plaza Resort, Captain Don's or Buddy Dive, but are open to other suggestions. On site diving is a plus, and a decent pool or beach area for relaxing when not diving is a must. Help please!

In addition to any information that you get on Fodor's I would also look at Bonairetalk.com and click on accommodations. Bonaire Talk has other categories that should prove useful in planning your trip.

We stayed at Divi Flamingo a few years ago - we were happy with our stay, had an ocean front room and it has a dive shop on the premises. It is easy walking distance to Kralendijk for dining options, parking was easy for the rental car. No complaints really but in common with alot of hotels in the Caribbean a bit rough around the edges.

About 4 years ago we stayed at Windsock Apartments. Small with a small pool, no dive shop but very close to one. Nicely equipped, spacious unit which was well kept- 2 bedrooms, bath and 1/2. Great rates! We highly recommend bonairtalk.com- reliable and very active. Have a great trip!
