Victoria tea on Sunday, Victoria Day weekend

My mom, two sisters, aunt and I will be visiting Victoria as a day-trip from Port Angeles. We want to go on Sunday May 21 rather than Saturday, but wondered if there were any tea rooms open (other than the Empress). The next day is Victoria Day, if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Most of the tea rooms will still be open over the "Victoria Day" long weekend.
The Empress will definitely still have high tea on the Sunday (and for the whole long weekend), as will the "Blethering Place" in Oak Bay, Murchies on Government St. and the James Bay tea room. I believe Gatsby Mansion will also have their tea room open for the long weekend.
The only tea room that may well be closed on the Sunday would be the "White Heather.

Thanks Shaenee for the quick reply. Do you recommend one place over another?

I would skip the James Bay tea room. It's awful.

High tea at the Empress Hotel is very expensive. Besides the hotel has been sold in the last six months, I don't know if tea will be available. Check it out.

If you happen to be going to Butchart Gardens, they have a lovely afternoon tea served in the main restaurant.

I highly recommend Murchies. As far as food and tea go they beat everyone. Call for reservations though it will be busy 250-383-3112 They are less than half the price of the Empress. I buy all of my baked goods from them - the best!
