Kodak film: Bangkok?

Can anyone tell me whether it's cheaper to purchase Kodak color-print film in Bangkok rather than haul it over from USA? Thanks---

In July I paid 345 Bht for 2 rolls of film in Chiang Mai and 330 Bht for 2 rolls of film in Chiang Rai. I didn't think the savings was extraordinary compared to what I pay for film at Costco. But, it also wasn't greatly inflated compared to what I pay at home, so I could have gone either way (haul it or buy it).

film is available all around thailand, especially in bkk...just watch the dates...that is the benefit of buying at home...developing is very cheap however...quality differs however from shop to shop...look for a larger shops that sells cameras as well and look at the eqpt to see that it looks new...

make sure you have a lead shield to carry film in when flying...

i can't remember the price of film but batteries are much cheaper in thailand...maybe 1/2 price...

buying film in a shop verses at a stand at a tourist site would save you money...

kodak and fuji film are the major brands available....

you might ask your hotel for a good developer and photo shop...

Kodak / Fuji flim is about B 110-130 (US$2.75-$4.25) from 7-11, they are a little cheaper than camera/photo shops. Prints are usually B 4.5- B7 depending on size, some photo shops add something for developing but if you use somewhere away from tourist routes then they wont, it's just the B4.5-7 per print.
