Does O'Hare Terminal 5 have Special TSA Precheck for Security?
We are changing flights at O'Hare for an international departure out of Terminal 5. Does Terminal 5 have special TSA precheck lane for security?

Which airline are you flying? According to the TSA site, there are only 11 airlines participating in the TSA Pre program right now, and to the best of my knowledge, none of those depart out of the international terminal.

Good point. I didn't think of it as being the airlines who participate as I am registered on all the airlines I regularly fly. We are flying on an American Airlines award ticket but our flight out of Chicago is on Qatar Airways. So maybe not. I always pack and allow time as if I had to go through regular security as you can be randomly pulled out of PC and there are some airlines who don't participate in some places (SW at LGA for example)and so you just never know.

Qatar Airways departs from Terminal 3, not Terminal 5, so if you're connecting at O'Hare, you shouldn't need to go through security there at all.
When you come home, your Qatar flight will arrive at Terminal 5.

Good to know about Qatar departures. I was thinking only the domestic airlines international flights leave from the domestic terminals. Just thinking about how to best navigate connection from my AA flight arriving in T3 to get to Qatar flight. Of course they all arrive at T5 where immigration and customs is.

There are a few international airlines that use the domestic terminals for departures at O'Hare (arrivals, of course, in terminal 5). Others I can think of off hand...Lufthansa and ANA in terminal 1, Air Canada in terminal 2, and Iberia and JAL in terminal 3.
