&Beyond vs. Desert & Delta Safari Camps

Does anyone have any experience with Desert & Delta Safari Camps? We are traveling to Botswana in August and really like the &Beyond properties but have been quoted for some Desert & Delta camps. What are the differences between the two if any? Thanks.

I've been to many &Beyond properties but only to one of Desert & Delta Safari Camps, that being Savute Safari Lodge. &Beyond always seems to do a great job of treating you royally and I have no trouble at all recommending them (though you've already had had some slightly negative info on Nxabega). I thought the services and food at Savute Safari Lodge were comparable to other places I'd been. The accommodations at Savute Safari Lodge were spacious and excellent, though it felt a bit more like Scandinavia than Africa.

D&D are mostly all located in National Parks. No private concession areas in their portfolio. You can't off road or do night drives. Main difference .......

I have had great experiences with all of the &Beyond properties, to be honest. A good product at a good price. No experience with D&D so far.

I would choose private concessions over NPs any day (see my comments on your question about NPs vs private concessions) so I would go with &Beyond, except their "under canvas" options which are in the NPs. The "under canvas" options seem to be charging lodge prices for what is essentially a mobile camp- a bit of a rip off if you ask me and in the NPs I think the D&D lodges are better value.
