Fodor's Expert Review Aqui Há Peixe
"There's fish here" is this restaurant's name, and make no mistake: it's one of the most fashionable places in town to eat seafood. At night this informal place attracts a youngish crowd clearly intent on hitting the Bairro Alto's bars later. Popular dishes here include fish stews and tuna steak sautéed with pink peppercorns; and locals also rave about the Brazilian-style picanha, the "rump cap" that clued-in carnivores consider to be the king of all beef cuts. There are cheaper lunchtime specials, rustled up from whatever was in the market in the morning. Desserts are homemade—and delicious.
