Catania Airport to Agrigento by Bus
Complete schedules from Downtown Catania and from the Catania Airport to Agrigento can be found at
www.saistrasporti.it
Service is frequent, with somewhat fewer buses on Sundays. One way fare is 10 Euros.
Travel time is 2 hours, 40 minutes from the airport, ten minutes longer from downtown Catania (by the central train station).
There are also a few direct trains on this route, although travel time is longer, and there is no train service from the airport. The bus is the better and more frequent alternative.
There are also a few direct buses to Agrigento from the Palermo Airport, which take roughly the same amount of time as from the Catania Airport (but are much less frequent).
There is frequent bus AND train service between Downtown Palermo (by the central train station) and Agrigento. One way fare is under 7 Euros.
For those pressed for time, Agrigento could be a day trip out of Palermo.
