I need help on getting from the Palermo airport to Cefalu. We are flying into Palermo at 13:40 and I do not know how long it will take to get to the Palermo train station to catch a train to Cefalu. I have never been to the Palermo airport, so I am assuming I will have to take a cab into Palermo.

If anyone can give me any advice on the best way to get from the airport to Cefalu, I would appreciate it. Is there a train station at the airport (like in Rome), shuttles, or just cabs? Is the train the best way to get to Cefalu?

I have lots of questions so all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I believe there is a train station either at the airport or close by and you can get direct trains via Palermo to Cefalu, taking no more than an hour i suspect. Think direct may have to change but a snap. Lots of trains.

There is the Trinacria Express train from the airport to the central station. (about 1hr) then take the train to Cefalu (about 45 mins). At the airport there is a shuttle bus to the train station.

Thank you. I thought the trip from the airport to Palermo was about an hour. Does anyone know if the train would be faster than the shuttle bus or are they about the same?

The bus from Palermo airport to the city is Prestia e Comande. It runs about every 30 mins. The trip from the airport to the Central train station is about 50 mins. It costs about 5E
