Palermo airport to Agrigento

Hi

Does anyone know if there's a direct bus service from Punta Raisi to Agrigento - or would I have to go via Palermo?

Thanks for any help you can give.

There is INDEED (limited) direct bus service via SAL Bus Lines. More options are available from the Palermo Central Train Schedule (train and bus).

Schedules at:

www.gesap.it (Palermo Airport website) and

www.autolineesal.it

Continued: there is much more frequent direct bus service from the CATANIA Airport to Agrigento, via SAIS Trasporti Bus Lines:

www.saistrasporti.it

Travel time from the Palermo Airport is only slightly less than from the Catania Airport, although air fares to Catania are often higher than to Palermo (plus Ryanair flies to Palermo from London).

Grazie GAC - that's a great help.

Do you know if either the Airport bus or 'Trinacria Express' train service go to Palermo F.S? Thanks again.

Steve: BOTH the airporter bus and the "Trinacria Express" train go to Palermo Centrale. The bus has the advantage of stopping as Piazza Castelnuovo and at the Port before terminating in Piazza Giulio Cesare. By contrast, the train can drop you at the Notarbartolo Station, or at the Orleans Station (near Piazza Indipendenza).

Fare and travel times are nearly the same, although the bus can be delayed by heavy traffic.
