San Francisco. Lovely architecture, beautiful natural environment, great restaurants, very cosmopolitian, diverse, historical.

But it depends - if you are visiting from a foreign country and want to figure out where to travel to I think picking a region would be better than picking a favorite city.

I love Boston or DC. History, beauty, walkable, good food, sports and pubs.

Boston, D.C., Newport - tons to do, good restaurants, and I love being on the water.

Um, guess. And it has something - or lots of things - for everyone.

Missoula Montana. Gorgeous part of the country imo, and maybe coincidence but many of the most interesting, sincere and honest people I've ever known were born and/or raised there.

Native NY'er here. Besides NY, SF, Boston, DC, and NOLA. I will not cite the US cities I do not like in the name of camaraderie.
