your favorite city USA?

What's your favorite city in the United States and why?

Isn't this a topic for the lounge?

New York City.
The vibrancy and unlimited options.

Cawker City Kansas, pop.469. On the shores of Lake Waconda.
Home of the world's largest ball of twine.

San Francisco. Lovely architecture, beautiful natural environment, great restaurants, very cosmopolitian, diverse, historical.

But it depends - if you are visiting from a foreign country and want to figure out where to travel to I think picking a region would be better than picking a favorite city.

I love Boston or DC. History, beauty, walkable, good food, sports and pubs.

Chicago.....like New York with friendlier people and a bit less expensive.

Boston, D.C., Newport - tons to do, good restaurants, and I love being on the water.

nytraveler Aug 30th, 2015 05:09 PM

Um, guess. And it has something - or lots of things - for everyone.

Missoula Montana. Gorgeous part of the country imo, and maybe coincidence but many of the most interesting, sincere and honest people I've ever known were born and/or raised there.

NY- so many different areas, sights and new things all the time and friends there.

november_moon Aug 30th, 2015 08:08 PM

New Orleans :)

IMDonehere Aug 30th, 2015 08:31 PM

Native NY'er here. Besides NY, SF, Boston, DC, and NOLA. I will not cite the US cities I do not like in the name of camaraderie.
