Yosemite in April

Hello. I have been to Yosemite many times in the summertime. However, I am going for the first time in April (third week) and am uncertain about the weather. Specifically, I am curious if I should do the regular car camping in Upper Pines or get a heated tent in Curry Village. Any opinions??? Thanks in advance.

It's a toss up--two weeks ago the temps in the East Bay were upwards of 70s--this week we're back down in the 40s at night.

Still pretty cold at the bottom of the Valley at night. I'd probably do a tent cabin.

April is one of my favorite times to go to Yosemite because the mountain snow is melting and the falls are at their best....but the weather at this time of the year is to unpredictable. I've hiked to Vernal Falls in shorts in April and other years in April we've had it snow on us.

Heated tent cabin for sure. You could very easily have snow - or nice weather. But even the warmest April days will be cold at night.
