Woogo Midtown-NYC

Only found one thread on here that mentioned this hotel and didn't review it. TripAdvisor has complaints but I'm interested in hearing what any of you who have visited think.

We are a group of 5 friends for Thanksgiving weekend so you can imagine the problem finding a room. This is a 2-bedroom apartment in the hotel for $399 total on Booking.com.

Thoughts?

I can't find it at the moment, but there was a HUGE thread here and follow up about how horrible it was there. I will keep looking for it. I don't think that is exactly how it is spelled.

Don't worry Dukey, no dredging here!

Mel, it was a really long, sad tale. The short version is - fahggedaboutit!
as Seamus aptly stated.

These are scam artists that the city of New York is working to close down - but they keep popping up in new places. Don;t touch them with a barge pole.

They have been reported to not provide any place at all and/or to bait and switch for much smaller/rattier places.

In addition to the long repeated thread here about the entire illegal operation, there was another very recent one from someone who booked with them, and was being charged twice for the entire booking. He was having a difficult time trying to get it straightened out. I don't know if we ever got the final report.

Just enter Woogo in the search function and you'll get more reading than you bargained for.

There's even a post by me about friends who did rent twice and LOVED it -- thought it was the deal of the century. But I still wouldn't trust them.
