If I see one more mis-use of site for sight I will scream!!!!!
A sight is something that you go to see. A site is where the sight is located.
On the internet, a site is also a location.

Underhill: No spelling complaints permitted on Fodors!
Indeed, one more eruption from you and we will have to summon the "spelling police" -- as per the slagging I got on a previous thread.
(Not from you, of course, but from the "civility police"
I too enjoyed the spelling thread.
And with that harmless observation, I bid you good-night.

Hope I don't get in trouble for asking this, but how do I spell Coliseum (coloseum? colosseum?). It makes a difference because I never know how to spell it when I am trying to do a google search. It's not a typo either - I just flat out don't know how it's supposed to be spelled.
Thanks in advance.

Cigalechanta: Having come to know you as one of the truly kind people on this board, I hate to disagree with you, but "Coliseum" is not correct in any language. The closest is "Colisée", which is, of course, the French name.
Jolie: In Italian, it's "Colosseo".

Off the subject a bit, did any other Fodorites hoot and howl over President Bush's recent speech, where he objected to Amnesty International's criticism the prison at Guantanamo.
Amnesty International apparently relied on information provided by detainees, whom our President described as, "people who hate America, people that have been trained in some instances to disassemble, that means not tell the truth."
