wonderful asheville restaurant

Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone planning a visit to Asheville. A wonderful restaurant is in the Biltmore Village - called the Corner Kitchen. We were in Asheville for three days and ate there three times! Unique preparations of some traditional southern foods. Absolutely wonderful. Check it out.

Also, a real downer was Salsa's in downtown Asheville. Quite possibly the worst meal I've ever eaten. The chefs there need to understand that cilantro does not need to go in everything - and more is not necessarily better. It was awful.

wow - interesting - haven't eaten in Corner Kitchen but have been meaning to give it a try. Salsa's on the other hand I think is very creative, though if you don't like cilantro then I suppose it might not be up you alley.

That's the second good review of Corner Kitchen I've gotten from "real people" in the past couple of weeks. I am putting that on my "Asheville restaurants to try" list.

Thanks for the info!

Salsa's is hands down the most interesting place I've ever eaten. I lived a block away from there, and I remember when it was a take-out place only. I think the food is great, give it another try!

I don't know about "real people". Sounds like shilling to me. No details of what they ate? 3 times in 3 days? overkill-bad review of the best restaurant in town? Hmmmm.

may be one of those people whose body makes cilantro taste like soap...my sister-in-law has that problem.
