Wilkes-Barre

Hi there,

We are thinking about spending the weekend with my boyfriend's realatives in Wilkes-Barre, PA over the Memorial Day weekend.

We are very interested in historical and ecological sites. Does anyone have a suggestion of what we should see?

I logged onto the chamber of commerce page and they had a terrific 'walking tour' page of historical buildings. I also found a web site about an eagle sanctuary.

I am interested in what others suggest.

Thank you.

Kittie

Try these 2 sites. I haven't checked them myself, but my neice is being married in Wilkes-Barre and these are among the information URLs she has on her wedding website: http://pavisnet.com/luzerne/ And...

If you like hiking, try Pinchot trails. About a half hour drive from W-B (Thornhurst/Bear Creek)
