Wildwood, Ocean City or Point Pleasant for first shore visit?

Point Pleasant is, well, very pleasant. If you like to shop for antiques/collectibles, this is the town for you. It's got a boardwalk and the usual boardwalk attractions but in town is the Point Pleasant antiques center with 3 floors with different dealers. Near that are several cute, quaint shops. It's terrific for a day trip if you decide to stay someplace else.
My ultimate choice would be Cape May.

I spent some time at Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights a few weeks ago, and was surprized on how little they have changed in the past 20 years. The 'Point' is still a mix of families, city kids, surfer kids, and senior citizens. Still the same rides, arcades, and beachfront bars (some have added some tacky looking palm trees).I still remember standing outside the Sea Breeze when I was a kid, listening to the Four Seasons just after they cut their first record! The Point has nice beaches, and the inlet is a relaxing place to watch the boats or to fish. Seaside is more like a small Wildwood, with more city teens in the mix, but still has lots of families on the boardwalk. I haven't been to Ocean City or Wildwood in many years, so I can't comment on them.
