Who has the best pool area and spa in Las Vegas.
Thinking of visiting Las Vegas in lieu of the Caribbean. Skeptical of flying out of the country. May even be cheaper. Would like to lounge by the pool and enjoy a spa one day of vacation though. Thanks

Here's a list of the Top 10 pools:
http://www.vegas.com/resorts/pools/
Note that this list is ONLY concerned with the pool, and not the rest of the property, so consider everything (how new the property it, location, etc) when making your decision.
Also, if you click on a hotel name on the left, it will give you a review of the pool at that location (as well as a picture)

My husband was just there and stayed at Mandalay Bay - loved the pool and said the "beach" area was really nice. He did not really like their casino but I don't know how much that means to you (he did not like the sports book or the layout of the casino). He liked the Hard Rock best of the places he has stayed(which I can see on that list linked above is rated the #2 pool).

I haven't been to either pool area, but if you plan on "seeing" Vegas, i would hands down choose Caesar's. MB is just too far down the strip for convenience purposes if you want to walk around and see all the different hotels.
I would also consider The Mirage (not to make your choices more difficult).

The pool area at Caesar's is my favorite in Vegas - very cool (but not tropical like Mandalay Bay or Mirage). If you are planning to use the spa, you might want to call before you decide to stay there - I was there in early April and the spa (at least the men's part) was undergoing renovation and the steamroom and some other areas were closed.

BassAckwards,
In my first draft of the message i was going to say that i don't agree with some of it, but then didn't want to open up a can of worms.
I took another look at the list after reading your post and i guess everything on the list has its perks, it just depends what you are looking for.
Monte Carlo has a wave pool, which if you have kids would probably appeal to you more than the pool at the Bellagio.
Personally, i like Mirage (although the pictures of Caesar's pool sure does look nice!)
