Which Show? Mystere or Le Reve
My husband and I are going to Las Vegas and want to see a cirque or cirque like show. Many of the shows are not playing the dates we are in town, so we've narrowed our selection down to Mystere & Le Reve. I really wanted to see O, but it is not playing while we are there. Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about these shows? I'm sure they are both amazing, but we can only afford to see one. Also, any advice on seats?
Thanks!

I've seen Mystere twice, and O twice, and most recently saw LeReve. I would choose LeReve. It has the water element like O, and I think it's just better than Mystere.
By the way, just to add some confusion, I'm not sure that I wasn't even more impressed with Ka than any of the others.

A vote here for Mystere, it was the first of the Cirque shows to play in Las Vegas. I love the set design and the stunts. Le Reve is a water show with some acrobats, Mystere is a floor show with acrobats. Have seen all the LV Cirque shows exept for Ka, and Mystere remains my favorite. Both shows are discounted through the LV half price ticket booth, www.tix4tonight.com. Mystere is 25& off and Le Reve is 20% off. You can only get the tickets on the day of the show and if the show is not sold out. You can check out availibility though the casino website ticket sales before going to the 1/2 price booth. Hope this helps whatever you decide.

In Las Vegas, I've only seen Le Reve. I was seat way up fairly near one of the platforms where a performer stands silently before the show starts. I agree with the previous poster that all seats are great. Although I wasn't close to the swimming actors, I had a great view during aerial numbers. Get there a bit early. Things start happening before the show starts. I recently saw Corteo in a huge circus tent. I liked the swimming/diving of Le Reve much better. I understand the theater was built for this show. The staging is incredible.

That's very interesting. Is it really possible to get tickets that way? I've understood the show is nearly ALWAYS sold out and the only way to get tickets is to get returns at the box office. How often are tickets available at discount through this tix4tonight place?

Hi NeoPatrick and travelers, I was able to get the Reve tickets discounted when a friend was visiting in June for a Sunday night. I was surprised because there were plenty of empty seats. We tried the early Mystere show for my dad and I in mid October and the early show was sold out but the late show was availible. Every time I've visited the booth at the Fashion Show Mall both shows were availible which was why I was surprised when we couldn't get the early show of Mystere when my dad was in town. When I went home I looked on the TI's website and saw the show was indeed sold out. So I think the best bet would be to check the TI's website beforehand to make sure the shows aren't sold out.
Also the 1/2 price booth buys bulk seats for Carrot Top and Mama Mia for all shows, the gentleman working there told me. I just figured they did that for Mystere too because I always saw tickets availible. They only have 8 seats ahead of time guaranteed for Carrot Top and two rows for Mama Mia. The secret to getting those tickets is to print a VIP line pass which is availible through http://www.lasvegas-nv.com/tix-4-tonight-coupon.htm but don't let the secret out too much folks or everyone will do it!
I was really amazed when the salesperson told me that they have also gotten Celine Dion tickets in the past. Finally, if you go to the tix4tonight.com website they are also now giving a "sneak peak" for a few shows. That's new because before you always had to wait to see the featured shows in person, the shows availible are advertised on a large screen one hour before the booth opens.
Today they are offering 15% off and 25% off Le Reve. Looks like they are alternating discounts. Unfortunately you won't know which show times for each discount. I'm guessing the 15% off today is for the prime seats with the early show but it's only a guess since it's a busier time in Las Vegas.

Thanks for the suggestions. We decided on Le Reve. We've seen the traveling cirque shows that are very acrobatic. We figure this is our only opportunity to see a water based show since a traveling show could not do that. We're really excited.
Thanks!

hppycpl,
We saw Mystere. I need to make sense or understand what I saw and I was unable to do so with this show. I know it is popular but when walking out I heard another couple commenting they didnt'care for it. I wish so bad I would have opted for Le Reve. I love the water idea as well. Sight unseen I think you made a wise choice. We did see LOVE and it was awesome! Enjoy!
