which Cirque duSoleil show? las vegas

We've been to Las Vegas 3 times, for a couple of days at a time, and never were inerested in the shows. Will be there 2 nights in July with daughter and her l3 yrs old daughter.
Can someone explain about the Cirque du Soleil shows....and perhaps give a personal favorite. They are at the Bellagio.."O", TReasure Island.."Mystere", MGM GRand.."Ka", and others, RIGHT ?!!! How do they differ and what would be a good general one for the first time. (there is one ,Le REve, but I understand that is lighter and more like a water ballet, )

Just looking for some ideas and suggestions.
OR would the musical "Mama Mia" be fun ...is it a fun show!???
Thanks

When "Ka" opened I read several reviews which generally agreed that it was the best CdS show yet, and had a more substantial "plot", if you will, than any other show. My father saw it last year (based on what I just said) and said it was just fantastic.

I have seen 3 CdS shows in their big traveling tent but none of the Vegas ones.

Le Reve is certainly not like a "water ballet." All of the performers are gymnasts and the action is incredible -- much like O.

Mystere is the most like a traditional circus with strongmen, clowns, etc... I think this one is best for kids.

"O" is amazing with the water acts, but tends to be a bit arty at points, so maybe not best for a 13 year old, but still amazing.

Le Reve does have one segment with a nude female preformer, just fyi. I have not seen Ka yet but out of the other 3 choices I would pick Mystere. To me it's the best show overall, the kids will enjoy it too. As mentioned on the linked thread, Mystere is half off at the half price ticket booth, I would wait until I was in town and go for the discounted seats, they are centrally located.

The website is www.tix4tonight.com.

Ps, Mama Mia is great but if your kids aren't Abba fans I think they may not enjoy it as much. Mama Mia is availible half price too

Le Reve does have one scene with a topless female performer (she's wearing a red dress and is otherwise clothed). It also has a scene with 4 nekkid guys lying on the ground, humorously covering themselves, but an audience member might see some butts.

I have seen Mystere, "O" and Ka! (Mystere and "O", more than once).

I would recommend Mystere. Our son was 13 when we saw Mystere the first time and he absolutely LOVED it. He also loved "O". Either one of these would be a good choice. Ka! was very good (the theater is amazing), but it isn't our favorite.

O is showing at the Bellagio. Tickets are on sale through Labor Day, if not later.
