Which Show Did You Like the Best in Las Vegas?

Hubby and I will be spending two days in Las Vegas in Mid-July. We are not big on gambling, but would like to see a show (or two). The problem is there are so many to pick from. Hubby is partial to comedy, I like "quirky" shows, such as Blue Man group.

Would love to hear which shows other Vegas travelers liked the best.

We saw Spamalot recently. It's funny and very entertaining. Mama Mia is also very good. The Cirque shows are all very good and Le Reve too. Have a good time.

Quirky and comedy adds up to two inexpensive afternoon shows - Mac King or Run Lucas. Google their names for additional details. You can frequently obtain free tickest to Mac King ($7.95 with a drink) at Harrahs Carnaval Court. Also, be aware that Ron Lucas will be moving from the Wyrick theater to the Luxor sometime after June 30th.

I'll second both Wynn shows. Spamalot is a riot, especially if you are at all familiar with Monty Python humor. Le Reve is amazing - quirky in it's own way, yet also beautiful and technically stunning.

I love Danny Gans <sp> Gains? Well, both dh and I do.
Enjoyed Love - Blueman (sounds like you already saw it?) is great... My Mom saw Spamalot and told me I might not enjoy it because I am not too fimilar with Monty Python...

Vegas shows we've seen and loved:
Mama Mia
Blue Man
Celine (awesome)
Mystere

Shows we've seen and liked but not loved:
Rita Rudner
O (I liked it but thought Mystere was better)

Shows that we didn't like at all:
Penn and Teller (I fell asleep and even our teens thought it was boring)

Haven't seen Mac King but heard it's a great show for little $$$.

I have seen "O","Mystere","Zoomanity", and "Blue Man Group". I did not think "Zoomanity" was as good as "O" or "Mystere". I also thought "Blue Man Group" was very expensive because it was a very short show and cost nearly the same as the Cirque du Soleil shows.

Just got back from our trip and thought I'd post a follow-up...

We ended up seeing two shows: O and Spamalot.

Thought O was good, but honestly, hubby and I were a little disappointed. I think this had to do with two things: 1)given the price and the hype, we expected more, and 2)We have seen two other Cirque shows, and this one seemed to place more emphasis on the changing stage and less on the performers.

We enjoyed Spamalot, and thought they did a great job adapting the story from film to the stage.

Oh, and the suggestion of the "show around the pool" was a bust-it was 114 degrees while we were in LV, and the only person at the pool was an elderly gentleman reading his paper each morning ;-)
