Too many to list. Have been to 2 Honolulu GTGs, 2 Boston GTGs, and threw my own Pasadena,Ca...3-day GTG....yes...3 days.
I'm a regular on the Asia forum. Plus, we had a small Bangkok GTG. I also went to the Africa forum's L.A.-area GTG. Happy Travels!

This goes in the "small world" category. I was chatting with a neighbor when the subject of Fodors came up. Turns out, we are both regular posters and had even read each other's posts with no clue that the OP was sitting across the street! So far, she is the only Fodorite I have met in person.

I have met several Fodorites and spent a lovely afternoon and evening with two very special people yesterday. I would never had met them without this forum.

This thread makes me sad as SpeedBuggy hasn't posted in ages. I miss him, he was a wonderful gentleman.

I wonder if he is all right. He and his wife loved to take road trips but at some point (last year?) he posted he lost his dear wife. Has anyone heard from SpeedBuggy?

It made me sad too, LoveItaly, as I'm worried about a certain MI miss who was here continually for two years and is no more too. And one other.

Once you meet them, it seems that you DO miss them. Getting to know them online, is REALLY knowing them-I think.

She was starting another whole business, so I may email and ask how it is going. Then I won't be sad.
