You got very lucky to be staying at that hotel for that price. You'll love it. It is a historical landmark, I believe. Very old and classy. It is not a far walk to Broadway which is the old downtow (Tootsies/Ryman) and just a little bit further to the "new" downtown - 2nd ave. There is a great place on 2nd ave. called Buffallo Billiards. It is a pool hall/ bar and has couches by the open windows and you can people watch while you have a beer. It is a really cool place, very popular with the locals. Don't forget to go to the river and check out the view of Adelphia Coliseum (sp) where the Titan's play. Downtown is fun to walk around at night in the summer! You can even rent a horse and buggy and see the sights that way, lots of fun!. Enjoy!
