All else equal, given your choice, would you prefer to fly into San Francisco or Sacramento airport for a visit to Sonoma? (Oakland's not an option for us). Thanks.

Given general traffic, especially during
commute hours M-F, 101 from SF isn't
too much better than the I-80 corridor
between Sacto and Vallejo (exit for Napa
and Sonoma). That said, A trip over the GG Bridge into Marin via 101 to Hwy 37
into Sonoma from SF is the far more scenic way to go, IMHO.

I would go SFO to Sonoma - a nice ride over the Golden Gate. Traffic can be bad from Sac.

Hi Brian, living south of the Sacramento airport I also put in a vote for you to arrive at SFO and drive from there to Sonoma versus arriving at the Sacramento airport and driving to Sonoma. Enjoy your visit!
