Saralou: What a gift - a new baby!! Thanks for bringing me back in time. My son was due Dec. 25 and made his appearance Jan. 18! Worth the wait. All the best to you.

I'll be with my family at Chicken Hollow (a place my family has in the country about 1 1/2 hours from home).

There will be seven adults, two children and five dogs (two pugs, a boston terrier, a boxer and a golden retriever).

Hoo-wee!

In Paris--fabulous place to spend Christmas after the kids are grown and gone! We did this last year too and had planned on Rome and Venice this year, but I was afraid nothing could match the magic of Paris at Christmas and we'd be disappointed so...back we go and Rome and Venice will be another day.

When we were young and poor we either drove (from Indianapolis) to the inlaws in Florida or drove to my parent's condo in Aspen. Loooong drives with toddlers.

Now the toddlers are teens and we aren't young or poor so we spend a week skiing in Aspen and another week skiing elsewhere in CO.

I LOVE Aspen at Christmas. Great old Victorian era houses, twinkling lights, lots of snow, plenty of great food, and quite a few celebs to watch. I don't want to be anywhere else for the holidays.

I can hardly wait! Only 12 more days of teaching before I start winter break! Yippee!

At my parents home this year in beautiful Fresno, CAlifornia!.I'm already weepy beacuse it's my baby's first Christmas (he'll be 6 months old) and we know he's the last one. Something about having a new little one during the holidays is so sweet.
