Where vacation that is 2-5 hours drive from central NJ??

looking for some ideas for travel between may and september. My husband and I have 2 little boys 2.5 years and 15 months. Great travelers. Like trains, farms, zoos, etc. looking for places to go with them can be a 2-3 day trip or a longer 5-7 day trip. open to all ideas and price ranges.

Lancaster, Pa is good. Dutch Wonderland is a theme park that is designed for little kids Seeing the amish is interesting. Also hershey park is not too far away. Chocolate world in hershey. Also strasburg railraod is close by.

How about Ocean City, New Jersey?

The Jersey Shore is beautiful in the summer. Ocean City has a nice beach and the kids will love the Boardwalk! It's a dry town (no alcohol) - great for families.

The Jersey Shore has lots of other places to visit like Cape May and Wildwood. There is also a free zoo just off the Parkway in Cape May County.

I agree with Cape May and Hershey. Both are good towns and small enough to really see everything. www.smalltowngems.com

If you make it to Cape May, take the ferry over to Delaware and drive down to Assateague to see the Ponies. Beach is nice there too.
