We are looking for a place to stay in May in or near Yosemite. We would like to spend $150 or below. Someplace romantic would be great Any suggestions?

Thanks!

For location, location, location, you can't beat Yosemite Valley.

Check out THE REDWOODS GUEST COTTAGES in Wawona. Phone 209-375-6666. These are privately owned cabins that are available for rent. They come in all sizes. You feel at home and not in a hotel. We have used them a few times with friends. Wawona is at one end of the park, but not a bad drive to see all the sites.

Dinner at the AHWANEE is a must.

I'd stay in the valley too. The only lodging that qualifies as romantic in the conventional sense is probably the Ahwannee Hotel though, which is beyond your budget. The Lodge is basic accomodations, but you absolutely cannot beat the location.

The Tenaya Lodge is gorgeous, located right outside Yosemite. www.tenayalodge.com It is a four-star destination resort complete with two pools, restaurants and spa services. ***kim***

We stayed in the Valley at Yosemite Lodge. It is very basic but clean. What made it romantic was the location. We were surrounded by mountains and Yosemite Falls was just steps away. I would stay there again but take a CD player (no tv or music there) and candles and wine.
