Where to stay in Boston?
Heading to Acadia for a few days in mid-August - flying in and out of Boston. We are planning to see just a few sights in Boston at the end of our trip. Looking for suggestions for a good, clean, reasonably priced place to stay in Boston, convenient to sightseeing since our time will be short. Would also be ok with close to airport. Family of 4 (2 young kids) plus a mother-in-law. Any ideas are appreciated!

Look at airport area although prices will still be high. You can take water taxis or the T into the city from there. We stay at the Hyatt or the Hilton at Logan but they are not reasonable. We just bite the bullet and stay there due to flight schedules.
There is an Embassy Suites that might fit your group. You do not want to stay in Revere, dicey.

And wine and cheese and wings in the afternoon at the Embassy. Use their shuttle to go to the T. Quick ride into the city.
The Hyatt and Hilton can be the same price as Embassy Suites on Priceline but no free breakfast. We have stayed at all three over the years, and each has its advantages.
The waterside of the Hyatt has fabulous views of downtown, and you can walk from the Hilton to any of the terminals (providing you are spr)
