Not sure if you want to spend this much but the Stein Ericksen Lodge is the best in the area.

lisa,
Lower Deer Valley is called Snow Park. Upper Deer Valley (more $$$$) is called Silver Lake. Stein's is at Silver Lake, also Goldner Hirsch, Black Bear Lodge, The Chateau and others.
I believe ski school operates out of both locations. My ski season renter is a DV instructor. He's fantastic with his classes.
Call Deer Valley Lodging for options and check out www.parkcityinfo.com. Also the DV web site of course. Many, many options. Specifiy if you need ski in/ski out. You will pay dearly for it at DV.
If you want something more "reasonable" look at other properties around Park City. Endless options and most are within easy walking distance of the free shuttle buses that go everywhere.
Happy planning
