Melissa, South Florida's peak season is Winter. Summer is not packed with vacationers.

Betsy, you did call you fiance finance. Why get testy?

Maybe it's a short drive, but if she hasn't been there yet, what does it matter?

As my husband would say, "does it really matter WHERE you are, you're going to be in your room all day anyways!"

PEI is very nice as well, Nova Scotia has also been highly recommended to me, it's on my list of places to go when I return to Canada (someday when we realize we won't get our darn green card until the next Millenium the way things are going! but that's a whole other topic).

Sarah,
I did look up the Prince of whales hotel and what beautiful views those are, we are going to pass on it though, sorry but thank you for your suggestion. It's nice to get all the suggestions and just because we won't go on our honeymoon doesn't mean we won't ever go! I did talk to my sister about Canada in general and she doesn't recommend going there and I think that is because she lives in Plattsburg, NY which is only a half an hour from there so they frequent that often. She just thought it was more of a weekend trip then a honeymoon. I have looked into the Breakers and also Cheeca Lodge.....I am stumped!

Betsy,
I vote for Bermuda. My husband & I have been there 4 times, once several years ago with our teenage daughters. We were booked to go in Oct. 2001, and stay at "The Reefs." It seemed like a great hotel, but then 9/11 happened and I just didn't want to fly, so we still haven't gotten to the Reefs. When we went with our daughters, many people said don't go for a week because we'd be bored, and nothing was further from the truth. There a lots of things to do there. PS: We were in Niagara-on-the-Lake at the Prince of Wales Hotel this past fall, and although the town is just beautiful and the hotel exquisite, I don't think there's enough to do.

Not in the U.S. but Atlantis in the Bahamas... or maybe Puerto Rico. There is a ton to do at Atlantis alone and in my opinion is the only place I'd go to in the Bahamas. Puerto Rico has nice water/beaches and green mountains.. not to mention a rainforest! The food at both Atlantis and P.R. was fantastic too.
