Wow, I didn't take cruise ships into the equation. I am definitely risk averse when lining up at the airport! We rent cars from Silvercar, so returning the car is a little quicker as we don't have to refuel (they do it for you for an extra $5.00 charge) and it's not located with the other rental cars, so has it's own shuttle, but even with that time savings, I don't think it will be enough.

Will take your suggestion to just stay close to the airport.

My time estimate wasn't anything to do with cruiseships being in town, or not. That's what I would allow myself anytime going to SeaTac.
