Where to go? 4-5 road trip Northeatern Region
Hello everyone, new to site. I'm planning a vacation for my girlfriends birthday next week. We are from Pennsylvania, and would like to venture up north somewhere (New York State, Mass., New Hampshire, Maine, etc) leaving Thursday and returning either Sunday night or Monday morning. We like a variety of things from general sight seeing, outdoor adventure, karaoke, etc. As for lodging we are not very picky and would even consider camping.
Any ideas as to where a good destination would be that would offer a variety of things to see and do?
Thanks!!

jahdisp25 , welcome to the site!
FYI, you tagged this post as Pennsylvania--where you live, not necessarily where you want to visit.
You may want to repost and tag with the states you want to visit. Many people only look at postings with the states they know about, so you're missing people who may have good suggestions for NY, Maine, NH, etc. I think you can put 5 tags per posting?

New England is a pretty big area, so probably a little more in the way of parameters would help. Also are you talking about the 4th of July weekend? because I would consider staying closer to home,as traffic will be bad. And good places will be booked up.
you might consider camping somewhere in the Berkshires. There is loads to do up there, musuems, light hiking, gardens, historic homes, lakes for canoeing or kayaking, shopping and lots of dining variety. But it will be a busy weekend and hard to find a place to stay. I bet you can find a campsite though (sorry, can't recommend a specific one).
