Where To Celebrate 50th In March

We would like to celebrate my 50th birthday (the end of March) traveling. Any suggestions?

We are both fit, like adventure, appreciate some tourist attractions but prefer to go off the beaten path. We are thinking of a week or two but are flexible.

Have you been to either? We have family who have been to BA and Costa Rica that loved both.

Planning on Hawaii when traveling to Australia and NZ in a few years. Still saving money for that trip and the money was in the stock market so....

Belize? Caves, ruins, jungle adventure for 1/2 the trip and then to the beach for warm water and sun...pretty good airfares lately.

Cruise Tahiti and her islands, 10 nights on Tahitian Princess. This is how I celebrated my 50th a few years back.

I noted that you also posted on the Europe board. How about Paris and/or Venice?

Sylvia and Gary- we would fly out of Minneapolis and have done Mexico except for Cozumel area and the Dominican. Is Belize still a deal?

Dusty, you make a valid point, however Hawaii is on our way to Australia and NZ which is planned for 2011. (Economy permitting)

You said you wanted to celebrate your birthday "traveling".

Going to Europe or Nepal or Peru is "traveling". Or Australia and New Zealand would also qualify.

Belize or Hawaii is "vacationing", not "traveling".
