I don't like Vegas or Orlando or the Jersey shore, but I will go back to all three. Vegas, b/c it's our gateway the amazing scenery in national parks of Utah and AZ. I was fed up with the exorbitant cost of a Disney vacation, and maybe will take my kids one more time at the very most. Every time we consider doing so, I just can't bear the thought. (My MIL lives in Sarasota and when we visit, we spend some time somewhere in FL and then the rest of the trip with her. We prefer Sanibel over any place else in Florida, except we, fortunately, really like Sarasota and Siesta Key.)

Our closest beach is the Jersey shore, so we make day trips. A week there, though, would bore me out of my mind.

I don't have any desire to see LA, Houston, Dallas or New Orleans. Would like to take the kids to Schittlerbahn near San Antonio, so we are not ruling a Texas visit sometime.

My (personal) tastes change, the more I travel. I once would have replied that I have no interest in Asia. However, I see some amazing pictures the scenery in China, and the religous temples throughout Asia, and now think - that would be cool to see some day. I'm not in any hurry, but I wouldn't rule it out like I used to.

It's so funny how these threads go. On some threads, you just cannot say you don't like Vegas, or wherever, b/c people who DO like it, get all upset. The way I figure, I'm glad people like going places I don't - maybe there will be less people in the places I DO like!

I LOVE this thread, particularly since some of the places listed are my favorites! Interesting!

Almost anywhere in the Caribbean... Poverty next to million dollar homes and locals who generally don't care.
Most places in Texas and Florida.

Most people think I'm nuts, but one of the places that just plain doesn't interest me is Alaska. The only reason I'd like to go is to see the moose.

The more I travel the more I realize that my heart and soul are in the tropics. Partly because of that, I'll likely not return to the Rockies or any where else in the northern parts of the world.

I'll also echo a recurrent no interest in returning to Las Vegas, nor could you pay me to go to Branson.

Midland, MI and Cuba. Been to Midland (twice for work) and is it ever BORING!!! I guess if I had the opportunity to go to Cuba for free I would go but I don't want to spend my hard-earned money going there. Just doesn't appeal to me. There's a reason they are all trying to come here.

I would love to travel to Cuba simply because from what I hear you are essentially stepping back into a simpler time. Not something that can be accomplished very many places.

I could live without going back to my in-laws again.

Been there....done that...married the daughter.

Oh...and anywhere in Oregon.

I feel like I've stepped on every grain of sand on the Ore coast and ate at every restaurant listed in Google, Chowhound and Tripadvisor.

I, surprisingly, have absolutely no desire to go to Hawaii.

I agree LoriNY, I have no desire to go to Hawaii either. I would love to go the the Caymans.

And I agree with Las Vegas too, absolutely no desire to go there. I don't enjoy gambling and I can get a hotel with a pool in much nicer surroundings.

For the record, I always thought I would really dislike Las Vegas, then I went, and yup, I really disliked Las Vegas.

I thought I'd like Gatlinburg but had not done my homework. I went and was shocked at how awful it was. We could not get out fast enough. My sister-in-law got married there, the reason for our trip. Yuck...the marriage stuck, thank heavens, but no thanks to the atmosphere in the chapel (groom was called by the wrong name even) or the town.

I enjoy going to Las Vegas although that I am not a gambler..But it is fun to walk around the city and admire the various fancy hotels, the Bellagio, Venice, Paris etc..,
I lived 4 years in Honolulu and loved it..

Vegas is the tackiest place I've ever been to. The only reason I would ever go back would be for one of the shows.

Hawaii, hands down. I couldn't really tell you why. I guess maybe part of it is the fact that I feel like it's being shoved down my throat all the time "oh you HAVE to go to Hawaii, it's soooooo beautiful, blah, blah, blah". Probably not fair, I realize.

Oh, I have no desire to got to Southern California either.

I will never go back to Acapulco, and I would advise everyone I know of not to visit there either.
