San Antonio and probably Paris. Those are the 2 that come to mind. Loved Paris the 1st time and returned for my honeymoon. It was just a horrible experience. I do however think that everyone should go there at least once and hopefully have a good time. San Antonio; didn't see what all the hype was about.

Haiti, I was there one time.
For sure I do not want to go back, but I am glad I had the experience of being in Haiti. But ugh, the smells and the poverty and it was a bit shall we say scary in a way.
But the art in Haiti was fantastic. But one trip was enough.

Taipei, Taiwan.I lived there for some time..
Loved it every minute, my kids used to go to Taipei International school, life was just super for the Americans and Europeans living there, big house, servant, gardner etc..,
But now I dont have any desire going back and visit it once more.
The pollution in Taipei is horrible..
I want just remember the city like it used to be and cherish the happy times spent there.

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but:
Las Vegas - just can't see the attraction
Branson (have been in the area for business conventions, and that was ENOUGH!)
Miami and Orlando
California (lived in the San Fernando Valley and - again - enough!)

Branson, actually, would be a good base for exploring the Ozarks. Just stay away from the main highway through town and the shows.
I've visited Las Vegas once and don't want to go back.
I never wanted to visit NYC or Australia, but I must say the trip reports and advice I've read here has started to change my mind about both places.

Montgomery Alabama.
I was stationed there once -- as a matter of fact, it was the assignment that made me decide it was time to retire so I could return to San Antonio for good.
I don't ever want to go to Montgomery again. It was a miserable, dreary town.

I really dislike very few places I've specifically made trips to visit, but two stand out as "done that and won't again": Las Vegas, (except as a portal to the Utah canyons) and Gatlinburg. 'Nuf said. I thought I was one of the very few people who felt that way about Vegas! Surprise surprise.

Gotta say, I agree with the poster about Niagra Falls. Went last summer, took the kids. Dirty, touristy, resturants are way over-priced (lunch at Applebees--$75 u.s.).
Also went to Toronto, won't go back there either.

My list includes Las Vegas, Branson, Atlantic City and any place that revolves around gambling.
Outside of the US, I'd say the entire Middle East (too scary), China (too crowded, pollution), Korea and Vietnam.

Mt. Rushmore. Came to mind because it is on my husband's list of places he wants to see (so that means we will likely someday go there). Not near much of anything else, and how long can you stare at 4 faces carved into a hill?

Interesting that Mt. Rushmore is mentioned. I recall as a boy seeing men dangling on steel ropes, something like spiders, as they jackhammered the faces of the presidents out of the stone. I thought it was vandalism then...and I think it is vandalism today. Hubris, overweening pride, destruction of a place on an enormous scale.
Branson: from all I have heard, it appeals to the same people who like Lawrence Welk every Saturday night on public TV.
The White House: at least, not until there is a new occupant.
New Orleans: dirty, degrading, smelly, overpriced, menacing after dark.
San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf: same as New Orleans.

Jamaica and Tahiti. Although I hear Jamaica is cleaning up their act, but unless I develop the need to buy drugs on the street, won't be going back anytime soon...and Tahiti, they need some pollution regulations.
