where can we go?
heyy,,
me and my boyfriend are going to miami during christmas time but I also want to go somewhere where it snow. My boyfriend has never seen snow so I want to take him somewhere where the snow is really nice so he can enjoy his 'first time seeing snow'.
So does anybody have a idea where we can go from miami?
It needs to be somewhere we can go with a plane or a car. I don't like the big city's so much so somewhere like a small town would be nice.
Does anybody have a idea? I would really appreciate it. I've looked on sites where it snows a lot and stuff, but I rather hear from people who have experienced it.
Thanks,
Estefania

"I've never been in the U.S"
What about your 1800 mile motorcycle trip last summer?
For snow, the Northeast and upper Mid-West tend to get lots of snow, but your best bet is to search for ski resorts. These tend to get the most reliable snow.
Upper New York State, New Hampshire, Vermont, the Rockies from Taos to Canada, the Wasatch in Utah, the Sierra Nevada in California, and the Cascades in Oregon and Washington usually have good snow packs by Christmas time.

Remind us again, do you have access to the Internet, a computer? No? That may explain your lack of knowing about plane fares and where to find ski resorts. I suggest you contact a local travel agent to help you.

NYC is nowhere near the snow - that's far north of here - like 7 or 8 hours by road. For definite snow at that time of year you need to go to the Rockies. VT probably will have snow - but it may not be real if we have a late winter.
And this is 1500 miles from FL. I really think you need to look at
1) a map of the US
2)yahoo maps/driving direction to get some idea of distances you are talking about

Thanks everybody,
I can use a pc, but not now.
And I'm now thinkig about flying from miami to somewhere near michigan and from there with a train to michigan, that seems fun to me.
Does anybody know if there's snow during christmas in Michigan?
