Arkansasnurse: Let's get serious... If you love pro teams from the north, an open air stadium, and dealing with the weather, then your best choice is Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo (previously known as Rich Stadium). We're talking real fans here, not the fair-weather type. Major tailgaiting is mandatory - people come several days before a game to get the party started. We would never consider building a covered stadium. It would be an insult to our beloved winters and the character of the fans. And let me just say that with the opening game we just had against the Patriots....I think we're on a roll (as long as it's not four superbowls in a row).

Arkansasnurse: It's only a short drive from Batavia to "The Ralph." According to this week's Sports Illustrated (with the Bills on the cover)....."Nothing, however, could match the drama in Buffalo, where the faithful set some sort of an NFL record for generating excitement over a team that was 8-8 the year before. The parking lots at Ralph Wilson Stadium don't officially open until 7 a.m. on Saturday - 30 hours before kick-off, mind you - but last week seven Winebagos dotted the gravel lot nearest the stadium by 3:30 p.m. on Friday."

So if you don't make it to a Packers game, I'm pretty sure a Bill's game will do just fine.

Arkansasnurse: If you're interested in Buffalo I think it would be fairly easy to buy tickets. I believe that a few of our remaining games have seats left for sale through the ticket office but I know that there are always tickets available through scalpers at the stadium. As Buffalo girl says, Batavia is a short drive, maybe 45 minutes from the stadium. We've started the season 2-0 and looking forward to a great season. The best games on our schedule, based on the competition are: 9/28 1:00 pm Philadelphia, 10/19 1:00 Washington, 11/23 1:00 Indianapolis, 12/7 4:15 Jets, and 12/21 1:00 Dolphins. Go Bills!!!!!!!

The Eagles are 0-2 at Lincoln (rhymes with Stinkin'!) Field, so I'd question whether "new" is necessarily "good."

My DH was commenting recently on how many commentators for the NFL have stated that Gillette Stadium, home of the NE Patriots, is the best venue.
