What's Blooming?

The sun is nice and bright in Los Angeles!

What's blooming in your garden? We have bougainvilleas, roses and one huge pot of orchids. I'm hoping to add more flowers and plants to both the sunny and shaded areas of our outdoor. Not a huge space but big enough for a few pots. Any ideas?

Sounds like an invitation for an ad, non? C'mon. Go to the garden web.

Thanks MichelleY! I had no idea coleus came in so many different varieties, colors and shades. So pretty and says grows really fast but needs to always be moist.

No ads, just plants Gretchen. Does Fodor's have a garden web? I'd like to know what's blooming in your neck of the woods!! All over the world! Too bad this is just the US I don't really want to start another thread in say, Japan. I've always loved flowers and plants but only recently getting into gardening and want to learn more like how to turn our waif bougainvillea to a happy luscious bougainvillea.

Hi Dukey1 Of course there's smog in LA! But we inhale it all so it constantly replenishes lol

Our jasmine trees are showing blooms and smell wonderful. We have hibiscus trees and bushes blooming in yellow, red, and double orange. Pentas awash with butterflies. And the passionflower vine I just planted a few weeks ago has great big buds. Central Florida.
