Tattoo: permanent alteration of skin tones with unnatural colors depicting images of transient significance and minimal aesthetic value, entailing the risk of contamination or infection, undertaken for the purpose of pissing off some segment of the population thought to be somehow oppressive. In many cultures thought to enhance personal attractiveness, not unlike other forms of self-maiming like lip enlargement with disks and body-piercing with animal bones.

What's wrong with tattoos?

Mullet haircuts were, for a brif time, popular in some places. Fortunately hair grows and can be recut.

Tattoos are permanent (essentially). 20 years down the road I wonder how many people are happy with the tattoo they got just to 'piss someone off', or to make a statement, or to celebrate some ultimately trivial event.
Tattoos are usually long term mistakes shrouded in a package of short term thinking.

Sorry Been Around, speak for yourself. I work with many tatooed people and most of their tatoos are really quite artistic. The majority of them are custom designs not "pick one from the wall" choices.

Artistic has nothing to do with the fact that times change, tastes change, fads change and people mature.
Seeing some 68 year old man at the beach 30 years from now with a Metallica tattoo or a cheetah on his chest or something like that will be pathetic.
Just like 50 year old women these days who try to wear tube tops and low riders...very sad IMO. Except you can change your clothes as you age.

Oh Da Plain , Da Plain! I rejoice that you so eloquently disparaged the tattoo mindset! If God wanted to wear body art...oh well. All I can say is temporary tattoos have evolved to the point where you cannot discern the fake from the real. Why do this to your body-Go's work of art? Next, fast food and America. The American diet is trash and we have the bodies to prve it. Folks- eat real food, cook, study. Walk every day. Sweat and do the stairs. Your life will improve, you will feel better. Don't do fast food- you have been mislead and manipulated.

Mari have you tried Gary Ind. yet? Also, you might like Odessa (TX), Paris (TX), Dublin (OH), Lima (OH), Cairo (IL), Tokyo (TX) Madrid (NM) just to name a few international-ish glamour spots found right here in the good ole USA.

Good grief, even if this IS a serious post, it's a great one to have fun with.

No one mentioned Atlanta, GA. I lived there for 18 months and, lemme tell you, it is a breeding ground for developing an inferiority complex. I have a healthy self-esteem, but there were days....Never mind that all the females are born blonde and thin - there is also some kind of unwritten law that says they must get a nose and boob job combo fixer-upper at the age of 18...AND, as an added bonus, it seems they also get the keys to a mercedes/porsche/GIANT suv/jag convertible to go along with it. The men look 20 until they get to be about 50, boyish, fit, backwards-baseball cap and long shorts kind of look. No one seems to actually have a job. Even though most of it is "new-money," there is plenty of it and lots and lots of places ooze with exclusivity. Hey, I'm not complaining. It was a terrific experience for a normal lil ole Jersey gal like me. I met some genuinely lovely people and Atlanta is SO fun to visit. It's just too Stepford for me. I kept looking for the extension cords...

Tahiti isn't what it's cracked up to be. Natives don't care for Americans. You can expect the cold shoulder. Perhaps some of the hotels have beautiful people, but beware the streets where the average guy hangs out.

How about a classy health spa? The men that go to these places are usually very desirable. They care for their bodies and are in decent physical shape. The people have class and the conversations at dinner are stimulating. Try Canon Ranch in Arizona or Lenox, Massachusetts; the Golden Door in Los Angeles; Rancho La Puerta in Ticati, Mexico.

A classy, stuffy resort in West Virginia is the Greenbriar which attracts beautiful people with mega bucks with which to pay for their stay.

Good luck and let me know if you find something that fills your needs.

The Greenbrier in West Virginia or Atlantis in the Bahamas. You will need a suitcase just to carry the money necessary or a credit card with no limit.

Hamptons are #1.

Also, Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. It is the place where all the Chicago socialites have their second or third homes.

C'mon Mari, you have to find happiness in yourself before looking to take some poor dude with a little money. Look, I have a trailer and a case of Reingold waiting here. We can talk about raising a child and happily see him progress to the 5th grade before its time for him to drop out. Hell, someone's got to do the beer runs. Why not junior?
Don't you know many people with money are some of the BIGGEST trash on planet earth? Shysters, mobsters, rappers(where da gat?) movie star drug addicts and on and on. Money is great because it makes life easier. That's it. Go meet a nice guy with good values who pays attention to you and a potential family. The other stuff is fake BS with no soul.
