We DON'T go anywhere on Memorial Day or Labor Day weekends because EVERYONE else is on the road.

We made the mistake of going camping to a VERY remote area in the Sierra Mountains in California about 15 years ago in a national forest where we like to camp because no one usually camped there. You have to drive about 1/2 hour down a dirt road to get there and people were everywhere! We got on Interstate 80 to drive home on Monday and we CRAWLED all the way back to the Bay Area. NOPE, we staying home!

Utahtea....besides we just got back from a two week trip

Just like utahtea, we stay home. The mentality here in Michigan is to GO NORTH every week-end and summer holiday, we stay put. This week-end especially is looking rainy.

NYC w/my daughter. I've counted like 10 people on this board who are going, and 3 others who are staying at the same hotel we are in. So what if everyone is there- it's NY!

I'm going to South Lake Tahoe for 3 days. Is it enough to get a dark tan? I can say I came back from Florida or Hawaii

We will be going up to our condo for three nights with all the kids and their friends. (Huntington Lake)

We hope to take up BIL's four kayaks and do a lot of paddling around the lake. The restaurant will be open full-time starting this weekend, so there should be lots of good food.

Lots of food, fun, reading, playing and taking in the beauty of the lake and mountains! ***kim***

Our daughter holds her approval on international travel with us hostage to our promise to take her to Orlando. Next week, we pay up!

A one-nighter to a B&B an hour north of here so we can see the Kohler Design Center (we 're planning a bathroom remodel), the Shops at Woodlake, and maybe a stroll along Lake Michigan.

Sit on my deck and enjoy the Blue Ridge mts. to the east while watching cattle graze in the neighboring fields. Sip some bourbon and maybe sit on the front porch and enjoy the views of the Alleghenies to the west.
