1. Working -- volunteered to work the holiday in exchange for a vacation day of my choice later on

2. Looking forward to hopefully going gambling NEXT weekend, when there will be fewer people on the road and at the casino

3. Having the kitten and the neighborhood stray neutered -- so much for their weekend

Deborah, bring cool clothes because it has been in the mid nineties all week with the heat index in the hundreds. Humidity has arrived.

rb_traveler, sticking tongue out at you for being a meanie.

I'm sitting on the beach all weekend saving my pennies for Miami the week after.

We live in Indianapolis, so we're going to the race with my brother who's coming up from Atlanta. Turn one seats, high up. Should be fantastic! And two barbeques as well. Bring on the pork tenderloin!

I guess we are in the minority. We leave Thursday noonish for our vacation in Northern Michigan (driveing from north GA). We will drive for approximately 6-7 hours and get up Friday morning and drive another 6-7 hours. Friends from Canada are meeting us on Saturday. We normally take vacation Memorial Day and Labor Day...gives us an extra day on one end or the other...since we have the holiday in there.
GoTravel........not going back to Myrtle this weekend??? LOL

Watching my daughter and first-born graduate from high school while hosting visiting family members. It will be an emotional time for me.

Funny this question is brought up, my BF just asked me this last night about where did I want to go this weekend AND next weekend? (next weekend is my bday but since I would have to be here on Sunday, no point in going anywhere!!)

Going to a bday party on Friday and then pretty much staying home here in NYC and getting some spring cleaning done.
Unless of course EMD wants to meet up at Grimaldi's on Saturday or Sunday!! LOL

I'll make sure our flag is up and looking presentable, then hang around the house, reading, practicing piano, and working in our vegetable garden. I might take a hike or bike ride. I need to talk to the kids about the meanings of Veteran's Day and Memorial Day, since they don't really know much about them, beyond just being days off from school. I'm really looking forward to a quiet weekend after about 6 weeks of non-stop activity.
