We too, have been told by United Vacations that we're not going to Riviera Maya in 3 weeks....we've been planning this for a year! OK, enough whining.

Since we're giving up our beach destination, and thinking of Arizona, who has the best pool in the Scottsdale/Phoenix or Tucson area?

I have been to the Phonecian (spell?) hotel in Scottsdale and the resort is fabulous. There is a very nice pool area with a slide. The hotel is nice and we had a good time there. (I don't know if it is the best. It is the only one I have been to there.)

There is much more of a selection in resorts in the Phoenix / Scottsdale area than in Tucson. Hard to tell where the "best" pool might be.

The Arizona Biltmore! It has not only the most massive pool, but also another one of their pools is the most historic (Marilyn Monroes fave) and they have 8 pools total.
