Renaissance Esmeralda Resort, Indian Wells, Ca

I'm planning a short weekend to the Palm Springs area, specifically Indian Wells there is a resort called the Renaissance Esmeralda that I would like to stay at. Can anyone give me some insite on this resort? Any other full service resort in this general area that I should know about? Any help would be much appreciated...thanks!

Great hotel. Beautiful Pool. We had a corner room that overlooked the pool and it was really big. The pool has one end that is sandy with a shallow entrance. Lots of poolside seating. There is also a section of the pool that has water falling from a trellis thing, good for cooling off. Two jacuzzis too. The views from the indoor bar are nice and the pool has a Palapa (sp?) bar. We thought it was a great hotel.

My husband attended an annual conference held for several years at this hotel and I tagged along 4 years ago. Very nice place well located a short drive from shops and restaurants in Palm Desert area. When we checked in to our room we were disappointed to be located directly above the entrance which was noisy with car and people sounds - we asked for a room change and were quickly moved to a quieter end of the hotel overlooking the golf course - fun to watch the golfers from our balcony!

No waterslide. Different pool areas though for maximum use of poolside lounging.
