West Palm Beach/Boynton Beach, Delray Beach
My husband and I are planning a 4 night trip to this area in mid-March. Any suggestions for clean, nice hotels at a reasonable price. It doesn't matter about being on the beach, but we would like breakfast included. Thanks for any suggestions.

the Marriott/Delray Beach is nice and usually not as expensive as other chain hotels in the area. It is located across the street from the beach and within walking (or a $7 cab ride) from all of the restaurants.
You might want to check with the Visitors Bureau in Delray Beach for the names of other hotels off of Atlantic Ave. There are quite a few independently owned that are really nice, across the street from the ocean/beach and within walking distance of all of the restaurants - driving and parking on Atlantic in Delray can be challenging!

Thanks for the suggestion, but the Marriott is $339 a night, too much. Does anyone know anything about the hotels and areas of the Holiday Inn on Congress or the Holiday Inn Express on Boynton Beach Blvd. in Boynton Beach. What about the Hampton Inn on W. Gateway Blvd. in Boynton Beach and last the Comfort Suites on Hypoluxo Road in Lantana. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Sorry about the Marriott rates - they're usually not that $$!
BUT! If you can get into the Holiday Inn Express it is truely a secret gem! I've never been in the rooms, but have had a few cocktails in their bar and ate lunch outside with a view of the beach. It is RIGHT ON the beach and if you can get a decent rate I would recommend it. You will have to drive to go to any restaurants/bars, but cabs are reliable and very inexpensive - you can go to Bostons (great little hang-out/restaurant) for about $5!
I forgot about another place, just down from the Marriott - it's called The Colony hotel & Cabana Club. I don't have the number but I'm sure you can google it. - It is a great little place - good luck!

My best friends moved to Delray Beach (just before the hurricanes!) While looking for a house, he stayed at the Bermuda Inn. He found it to be comfortable and clean. It's on Ocean Ave. at Atlantic and right next to a couple of great restaurants; Cafe Luna and Bostons on the Beach. You might want to check it out.
