carlsbad or oceanside

We are going end of April and would like to spend 2 beach days, 1 Wild Animal Park day and 1-2 days at Legoland. Is there a beach hotel that you would recommend, if not another hotel centrally located to the to latter activities?
Thanks

Hi Disneymom! My preference is Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Inn. Both towns are conveniently located to Legoland and obviously the beach, but I prefer the town of Carlsbad to Oceanside.

The Ocean Palms is right across the street from the beach and the Beach Terrace is right on the beach in Carlsbad. Very nice location - conventient to the 'downtown village'

I like Carlsbad better than Oceanside (43 to 1 in the number of years I've gone to the beach there), but I always enjoy walking the pier in Oceanside and eating at Ruby's at the end of the pier.

right next to legoland and with a view of the ocean is the carlsbad grand pacific palisades resort, it is very nice for visiting both legoland and the beach. Also Tamarack Beach resort, directly across the street from the beach within walking distance to downtown shops and restaraunts.
