West/North Tahoe Lodging

My wife and I are in our late 20s and heading to Tahoe for 3 days the last week of June. We prefer a relaxed location as a good base for outdoor activities as we are not interested in the gambling/touristy aspects of the South side. I am interested to hear about good B&Bs or smaller hotel options that would be suitable for our stay. Thanks

Check out Cottage Inn (Sunnyside - near Tahoe City), Mourelato's Lakeshore Resort or Franciscan Lakeside Lodge - both near King's Beach. I think there is a very nice B&B in Tahoe City but can't remember the name. Do a websearch?

We have been to Brockway Springs a few times - it is basically a bunch of independently owned condos and townhouses right on the lake that are centrally managed and rented out when the owners are not there. It is a convinient location on the north shore and has nice views of the lake. There isn't a beach, but there is a pool right on the water that is nice.

Sunnyside Resort is very nice lakeside. It's not a B & B but it is a small inn. Also agree with the cottages near Taheo City. Very Cute.

I'm not a big fan of Kings Beach but I do love Tahoe City and other places on the west side.

Is Cheney House the B & B?

Rockwood Lodge in Homewood is really nice but it will be really quiet there in June:

It's near Historic Chambers Landing with Bar on the pier. Great for afternoon drinks. ALso really close to the newly remodled West Shore Cafe though you could hardly call it a cafe anymore.
