Lake Tahoe
My husband and I will be at Lake Tahoe in the middle of June. We are staying 4 nights in Stateline, but would like to spend one night on the north side of the lake. We would like something other than a large casino/hotel. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated.

Since the far north side is Kings Beach or Incline and also on the Nevada side you do end up with some of the best accomodations at the casinos in the area. On the other hand if you think of Tahoe City as the north side then you should look into Sunnyside Resort which is about 2 miles south of Fanny Bridge, Yahoe City. GREAT place right on the lake. Nice rooms and very good restuarant.

Brockway Springs is a nice place. We've stayed there several times. There are lakefront and lakeview condos and townhouses of different sizes. It's located in Kings Beach, right on north shore.
Zephyr Cove resort is not on north shore, but it is away from Stateline a bit. It has a lodge, restaurant, and cabins right on the lake - great beach with a dock. It really has the feel of old Tahoe.
I've never stayed in Tahoe City, but it's a nice little town, totally removed from the casinos and the highrises of Stateline.
