Weekend getaway from NYC

We’re looking for a weekend destination from NYC/ Northern NJ, about 2 hrs driving in a winter wonderland setting. We’re going in January.
Other requirements: nice, romantic inn or B&B, with a fireplace in the room and a good restaurant close-by. Possibility to rent snow-mobiles a plus.
Does such a place exits?
Thanks a lot

No guarantees about winter wonderland only 2 hrs away and in room fireplace narrows the field considerably.

Here's a link to another thread asking for something similar with in room fireplaces. The places I menion in it are a bit more than 2 hrs away, maybe 3.

Other options in terms of areas might include Bucks county, Pa/Lamberville NJ, and the Poconos. Monhonk Mountain House is a resort hotel but I don't think they have in room fireplaces.

Try the Mohonk Mountain House in New Palz, NY. It is a beautiful, old fashioned inn and spa in a spectacular mountain setting on a lake. Close to good antiquing too. Very romantic. I haven't been there in ages, so can't recommend restaurants, but I know there are lots.

lol - my link didn't work, and I realize that I sound like an add for the place. I have no affiliation with Mohonk, just had a wonderful time there several years ago with my husband.

mom929,
I totally forgot about Mohonk – we’ve been there before, but just for a day trip, I will look into it (don’t worry about the link). Yes, there are a few very good restaurants in the area…

mclaurie,
Yes, I know...close, fireplace, winter wonderland, it’s really asking for a lot but you never know. And we might even go for a longer (3 hrs) drive.

Thank you both for the suggestions.
